Here’s what The Witcher would look like if it were a crime noir

This needs to be an alternate universe...seriously

Well, this is pretty awesome. Geralt of Rivia is already a master detective, at least as far as fantasy worlds are concerned, so it makes sense that his skills could translate into the world of crime noir. And that's exactly what artist Ástor Alexander thought when he created a series of seriously impressive posters and stills of various characters from The Witcher universe.

Alexander portrays Geralt as the rugged chain-smoking private detective (who of course uses his Igni spell to light up) with Triss Merigold outfitted as the traditional femme fatale. Yennefer and Ciri get their own designs as well and each of the posters is representative of a quest from the game. Wild Hunt is the overarching quest of the main game involving Geralt's search for Ciri and her escape from the spectral warriors of the Wild Hunt.

A Matter of Life and Death is the quest where Geralt and Triss help the Sorcerers and Sorceresses under siege in Novigrad escape the death march while The Last Wish is all about Geralt and Yennefer's past.

Here are a couple of the stills:
