Here’s when you can start playing Destiny’s The Dark Below expansion

As you're probably aware by now, Destiny's first expansion, The Dark Below, unlocks tomorrow, December 9th. Of course, what you're probably dying to know is when you can actually start playing the new content.

According to developer Bungie, Expansion I: The Dark Below will become available for download at 1:00am Pacific time (4:00am Eastern). In preparation of the new expansion, Bungie did release a small update today, so you might want to download that first.

As a reminder, The Dark Below is available for $19.99 or as part of the Destiny Expansion Pass for $34.99. It features new story quests and missions involving a new character named Eris; a new cooperative strike, The Will of Crota; a six-player raid, Crota's End; tons of new gear that will help raise your Guardian's level cap 32; and three new competitive multiplayer arenas for the Crucible. In addition to all of this, those playing on PlayStation will also get some timed exclusive content in the form of an additional Strike on Mars (The Undying Mind) and a badass exotic shotgun (The 4th Horseman).
