Video game movies were a major part of the early and mid-2000s, most of them were pretty terrible which is why studios have been hesitant to make any more. Recently, it seems Hollywood wants to cash in on the major success that some game franchises are having. Studios have greenlit movies for all sorts of games like Watch Dogs, Uncharted, and now Tomb Raider.
Tomb Raider's not a complete stranger to Hollywood as it had some campy movies released in the early 2000s, but this new reboot plans to tackle a darker and more serious tone that aligns with the more recent games. The movie has been in development for years and began shooting a few months, but now we have our first look at the movie in three new official images. You can view them below.
