Here’s your first look at Killer Instinct’s new character, Omen

Today, Iron Galaxy has revealed the newest, and most notably, free fighter, that will be added to the Killer Instinct roster on their Twitch Stream. The character is Omen, a nearly transparent black and blue fighter with glowing hands and feet, and a mask.

He'll be free as a thank you for the continued support for Killer Instinct, but also because he's more of a clone character of Jago and Shadow Jago, taking a bit from both of those characters. He apparently also is one of the best zoning characters in the game. The one caveat though is he'll only be free if you bought the Ultra Edition or Combo Breaker Pack. Since he's not one of the eight planned characters for season 2, he's technically an additional free character if you bought all the other characters as well.

His moveset consists of:

  • Three shadow stocks
  • Shadow-powered ability to cancel any action, turn into shadow, and move a short distance in any direction
  • Multi-hitting close-range kick special
  • Powerful projectile zoning with some radical projectile options
  • A special move that burns all three stocks
  • Aerial movement options
  • Slide

You can check out Iron Galaxy's stream on Twitch right here, and hopefully its archived in case you're coming to this article after it's already ended.
