Here’s your Madden NFL 16 cover athlete

So last night, ESPN, much to the displeasure of Colin Cowherd, revealed the cover athlete for Madden NFL 16. And they did so in what was one of the most awkward reveals that I've ever seen.

Seriously, ESPN, stick to "real" sports.

So yea, New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will be on the cover of Madden NFL 16, which means I will be designing and printing out my own cover. As a Cowboys fan, I'll be damned if I am forced to look at that overrated catch every time I want to play a game in Madden. Was it impressive when it happened? Sure, but remember, the Giants went on to lose that game.

Or maybe I'll just buy the digital version, but even then, he'll probably be on the main splash screen. F*ck!

At 22 years old, Odell Beckham Jr. is the youngest player to ever grace the cover of a Madden game. Stats wise, he probably deserved it, but come on, it was one year. Could a player be more overrated?
