Here’s the launch trailer for A Plague Tale: Innocence

Comes out tomorrow

Publisher Focus Home Interactive has released the launch trailer for their narrative-heavy adventure game A Plague Tale: Innocence. The game is launching tomorrow on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Check it out!

It has been a good while since Focus Home Interactive first unveiled A Plague Tale: Innocence two years ago. Helmed by French developer Asobo Studio, the game is fittingly taking place in France. Namely, in midst of the horrific plague which is ravaging Europe and kills Millions of people.

It’s this tumultuous time where A Plague Tale: Innocence takes place. Players are put in the shoes of Amicia De Rune, a young teen who is forced by circumstances beyond her control to flee her home together with her estranged younger brother Hugo. The little boy is at the center of a mystery that entails the brutal Inquisition who is for some reason after the boy. As siblings, Amicia and Hugo venture on a journey to find help for the sickly Hugo, all the while being on the constant escape of the Inquisition and the deadly hordes of rats.

Follow the grim tale of young Amicia and her little brother Hugo, in a heartrending journey through the darkest hours of history. Hunted by Inquisition soldiers and surrounded by unstoppable swarms of rats, Amicia and Hugo will come to know and trust each other. As they struggle to survive against overwhelming odds, they will fight to find purpose in this brutal, unforgiving world.

As you can see, A Plague Tale: Innocence is heavily focusing on a deep and believable narrative revolving the intimate relationship which evolves between the two main characters under extreme situations. As a decidedly AA title, it’s exactly this unique take on characterization with a historical setting that sets the game apart from other games with lower budget.
