Here’s the launch trailer for Halo co-creator’s Disintegration

The launch trailer for the ambitious FPS-RTS hybrid Disintegration is here. With big names behind it, expectations are for the shooter that pits you in the mechanical boots of a robot. Check out the trailer below!

There’s just no denying that Disintegration has a tough task in front of it. It just comes naturally when you consider that it’s the project by Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto. Even if it’s not entirely fair, comparisons to the legendary console shooter will be made. A shame, as every game deserves to be taken for what it is.

From V1 Interactive, the new 30-person independent development studio founded by Marcus Lehto, the co-creator of Halo, comes Disintegration, a sci-fi first-person shooter combining FPS and real time strategy elements. Set in the near future on Earth, the only hope for human survival is through Integration, a process developed to preserve human brains in robotic armatures. You play as Romer Shoal, a former Gravcycle pilot in command of a small resistance force still grasping onto the fading memories of their human selves. With the domineering Rayonne forces set on eliminating the final remnants of human society, it’s up to Romer and his crew of Outlaws to fight back and reboot humanity. Pilot a variety of weaponized Gravcycles and command your crew on the ground by leveraging a variety of unique unit abilities and mastery of your own personal arsenal to dominate the battle.

Then again, we weren’t entirely convinced of the shooter ourselves which you can read in greater detail in our preview here. But many months have passed since and there’s no question that the developers have taken constructive criticism to heart. Here’s to hoping that developer V1 Interactive will manage to deliver in the final product.

Disintegration is set to release June 16th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
