Hideo Kojima and Sony’s Mark Cerny searching for world’s ‘newest technology’

Last year, Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima and Konami officially parted ways after months of heartache and tension. Since the breakup Kojima founded a studio, Kojima Productions, and is collaborating with Sony on a new game for PlayStation platforms.

The collaboration between Kojima and Sony appears to be running deeper than the two simply sharing assets. Kojima and Sony's Mark Cerny have embarked on journey together, searching the world for the 'newest' technology.

What kind of technology the two are looking for was not revealed, nor was the reasoning behind the journey. Over the next 10-days we will likely learn more about the duos adventures.

What we are possibly witnessing is Cerny, known for being the lead system architect for the PlayStation 4 and developer of the PS4 exclusive game Knack, and Kojima in the beginning phase a bromance. Director Guillermo del Toro once had a bromance with Kojima, and that gave birth to P.T. the Silent Hills demo.
