Hideo Kojima reveals horse poo affects vehicle stability in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain

Following leaks on gameplay details in Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, game creator, director and writer Hideo Kojima has revealed a fun little detail on the game: horse poo affects vehicle stability. Technically, this was revealed in 2014 – but Kojima has highlighted the feature today.

What I mean by this is, when a horse takes a poo in the middle of a road (be polite and poo on the side of the road at least) it can cause vehicles to spin out of control.

Kojima also revealed that if you take an alternate route and put enemies a vehicle to sleep with tranquilizer rounds they will pass out and fall out of the vehicle, but if they spin out because of horse poo they get dazed and stay in the jeep. It's very important to know your gameplay options, especially with a game that has been revealed to give you "total freedom."
