Hitman 3’s Dartmoor harbors a classic murder mystery, also Epic exclusive

IO Interactive released a spanking new trailer for Hitman 3. This time, we get to see the first new location of the assassin simulator with Dartmoor and it’s unlike anything you’ve played before. Check it out below!

It looks like IO Interactive is going all out with the final installment of the World of Assassination trilogy that successfully rebooted the legendary stealth-action series and put it back on the map.

While early promo materials focused on the flashy and eccentric mega-rich cities of the Middle East, the newly revealed Dartmoor is a much more compact endeavor. Quite literally. Instead of a sprawling city or suburban city, this level has a unique twist.

It’s set in a large traditional manor that harbors many secrets. From the family’s dark past to the building’s very own secret pathways. The trailer does a great job of setting up the mood which is unlike anything from the Hitman games.

While Agent 47 is indeed the best assassin, here his job is to uncover the mystery of a murder not by his hand. An illustrious cast of characters and the manor itself manage to really create a unique sandbox where we expect more than just to unmask another killer but kill someone ourselves.

But that’s just one mission story Dartmoor has on offer and the many secrets of the place itself and its inhabitants are promising much more to do… and murder.

Together with the location reveal, we today also learn that Hitman 3 is the next major timed-exclusive that Epic has secured on the PC via the Epic Games Store. The timing is particularly interesting since Epic is currently in a massive legal battle with both Apple and Google over their claims that customers should have the right to purchase games and content wherever they please.

Hitman 3 is slated to launch in January 2021 for PC, PS4, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
