Hitman has had a major resurgence this generation with a grand reboot that focuses less on story and more on incredible sandbox levels to invest dozens of hours in. It takes a page out of the beloved book of Hitman: Blood Money and shies away from the likes of the story heavy Absolution but… now, IO Interactive is bringing both of those last generation Hitman titles to Xbox One and PS4 so you can enjoy the best of both worlds!
Known as the Hitman HD Enhanced Collection, both games will come as a digital only bundle for $59.99 on January 11th, 2019. While we don’t have any screenshots or videos yet, IO Inteactive has promised plenty of touch-ups to improve the experiences of both games. Both games will play in 4K, 60 FPS, improved textures, lighting, and plenty of other details to modernize the games.
IO Inteactive has also noted that both games now feature improved controls for a “more fluid experience”.
“We’re very happy with this collection and how we were able to update and remaster two of our classic Hitman titles for modern consoles,” said Hakan Abrak, CEO, IO Interactive. “Hitman: Blood Money and Hitman: Absolution have helped us on our journey to where we are today, and we’re looking forward to players enjoying them in 4K and 60 fps.”
There’s currently no word on bringing the remaining Hitman titles which were remastered last generation over to the current consoles. Hitman HD Enhanced Collection will release on January 11th, 2019 for Xbox One and PS4.
