Square Enix and Io-Interactive have finally shared details regarding Hitman's launch schedule. Following the delay, Hitman will now officially launch on March 11, 2016. Of course, as we learned back in July, Hitman won't actually be released in full in March; instead, Square is adopting an episodic release schedule of sorts. So here's the schedule:
On March 11, 2016, Htiman's initial launch content will include three "huge" sandbox locations: Paris, Sapienza, and Marrakesh. This will offer players six campaign missions "with 40 unique ways to take out your main targets," and Contracts mode for all locations with around 800 potential targets.
Also starting on March 11th is Hitman's live content, which will offer weekly live events, including targets which appear one-time-only for limited time only, weekly Io-Interactive developer team created Contracts, community created Contracts, and new items like weapons and disguises.
Post launch content for Hitman will include one new sandbox location per month: Thailand in April, USA in May, and Japan in June. Each location will come with additional missions, signature kills, and more Contracts targets, as well as new weapons, tools, and disguises for all locations.
All of Hitman's content, including all live events and guaranteed access to the Hitman beta (PC and PS4 only), will be available for $59.99. However, for $34.99 you can get the Intro Pack this November, which will include all launch content available on March 11th only, including Live Events and Contracts for those locations. Players who opt for the Intro Pack can upgrade for another $29.99 to include the remaining Hitman content.
