IO Interactive, developers of the legendary assassination simulator game series Hitman has shared some incredibly nice news about their new game Hitman 2. The entire Season 1, that is all missions from the first Hitman of 2016, will receive a revamp and become available to be played in Hitman 2. Even more, users who own Hitman 1, will get the updated missions for free in Hitman 2.

Free stuff is always appreciated. Especially these days among the gaming audience where the notion is strong that publishers are continuously searching for ways to nickle and dime customers evermore. Day 1 DLC, microtransactions, Pay-to-Win and more have led to many gamers become more and more cynical towards big blockbuster games.
Keeping that in mind, the news of IO Interactive to basically give away an enhanced version of their first game for free is an astonishing present by the game developer for its fans. Of course, it will be only free for owners of Hitman (2016), but still, we have seen many attempts of repackaging and reselling same content in the past. In that sense, this offer is pretty awesome.
The revamped missions of Season 1 will feature all improvements of Hitman 2. Improved graphics, new game modes, gameplay items, mechanics and more will be available to experience and use in the improved Season 1 content for Hitman 2.
IO Interactive’s story is just heartwarming. After almost killing the Hitman franchise with the arguably dumbed-down Hitman: Absolution in 2012 and coming at the verge of closing down shop for good in 2017 when Square Enix decided to end funding, the venerated Danish game studio managed to become independent while retaining full rights of the Hitman franchise. Now, in partnership with Warner Brother Games, IO Interactive looks to be able to refine and perfect the successful formula of Hitman (2016).
Hitman 2 is coming out November 13 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
