Hold on, Telltale’s The Walking Dead Season Two will now release in 2013

Great news Telltale fans, you won't have to wait until 2014 for Season Two of The Walking Dead. There seems to have been some misunderstanding in yesterday's report in which Telltale CEO Dan Connors told Eurogamer that Season Two was expected "next year." That was interpreted as 2014.

As it turns out, the estimated release window for The Walking Dead Season Two is actually fall of 2013. A Telltale spokesperson clarified Connors' initial statement, telling GameInformer:

"The current estimated release window for Season Two of The Walking Dead is for fall of ‘this’ year (2013), and not ‘next’ year (2014) as has been reported after a recent interview. We apologize for any confusion and thank you and all of our fans for your continued excitement for Telltale’s series."

Telltale still has plans to release some new content for The Walking Dead to help hold us over until the arrival of Season Two, but they haven't yet announced what it will be.
A fall 2013 release also means we could also see The Walking Dead Season Two on PS4, though Telltale now faces even more of a time crunch. Speaking to IGN, Telltale producer Kevin Boyle said the studio is working on bringing saves over from the PS3 to the PS4. A 2014 launch would've been a longer wait for fans, but would have provided ample time to work out all of the kinks.
