Holy crap! The map in Assassin’s Creed Unity is huge!

Thanks to some very resourceful folks over at Reddit and accesstheanimus, we're able to get our first glimpse at the map in Ubisoft's upcoming flagship franchise, Assassin's Creed Unity. As we know, the game will take place mostly in Paris during the French Revolution. Since E3, we also found out that buildings will be a 1:1 recreation, meaning they won't be scaled down to size. So what does this all mean for the in-game Paris that players will be exploring? It's freaking huge!

The screenshot below shows what looks to be a physical representation of the in-game map. It looks pretty damn big. And as noted by GAFfer CrossingEden, the game also promises about 1/4 of the map having explorable interiors, explorable Catacombs, and to top it all off, no loading screens whatsoever.

But what really drives the size of this map home is the comparison to the real map of Paris. A user has compared the two side by side, which reveals that the in-game Paris, is indeed a near 1:1 recreation of the city. Check out it below.

Pretty impressive when all things considered. Will Paris be the only explorable city in Unity? Given its supposed grand size, it might just be enough.

Assassin's Creed Unity is slated to release on October 28th, 2014 for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
