Homefront: The Revolution co-op ‘Resistance Mode’ revealed

In Homefront: The Revolution, you're part of an underground group of resistance fighters, waging guerrilla warfare against U.S. occupiers from the Greater Korean Republic. But you can't do it alone; you'll need the help of friends, fellow resistance fighters.

To that end, Deep Silver today revealed Homefront: The Revolution's online co-op "Resistance Mode." Shown off in a new "Freedom Fighters" gameplay trailer, this mode sees you wage guerrilla warfare against the military might of the KPA in "thrilling narrative-driven scenarios."

As you and your fellow resistance fighters progress, you'll unlock new skills, weapon blueprints, rare equipment and combat gear to upgrade and customize your roster of Freedom Fighters. The further you push, the harder the enemy will respond, with bigger guns and better tactics.

Deep Silver promises "major" content updates as part of an "extensive post-launch support program." That being said, all future co-op Missions will be free to all players.

"Homefront: The Revolution is this team's most ambitious project yet," said Hasit Zala, game director at Dambuster Studios. "In addition to our epic 30-plus hour single-player campaign, we expect to launch Resistance Mode with 12 Missions, packed with re-playability, and hope to release another 20 Missions within the first year. To ensure our community can always play together, all Resistance Mode Missions will be free to download."

Homefront: The Revolution is due out on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on May 17, 2016.
