Horizon Zero Dawn launches August 7th for PC, gets first PC trailer

Mere moments after leaks hinted towards Horizon Zero Dawn getting ready for its PC launch, Guerilla Games has officially announced that their brilliant PS4 exclusive will be releasing on PC August 7th. You can already pre-order the game via Steam and EGS for $49.99. Check out the new trailer here!

It looks like today’s Steam database leak was spot on by suggesting that Guerilla Games’ excellent open-world action-adventure was going to launch soon. But instead of our own speculations that it would be released immediately after the current Steam summer sale, PC gamers will have to wait one month.

Experience Aloy’s entire legendary quest to unravel the mysteries of a world ruled by deadly Machines.
An outcast from her tribe, the young hunter fights to uncover her past, discover her destiny… and stop a catastrophic threat to the future.
Unleash devastating, tactical attacks against unique Machines and rival tribes as you explore an open world teeming with wildlife and danger.
Horizon Zero Dawn™ is a multi-award-winning action role-playing game – and this Complete Edition for PC includes the huge expansion The Frozen Wilds, featuring new lands, skills, weapons and Machines.

Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC will include every DLC released and is priced at a reasonable $49.99 on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. Alongside this added game content, PC gamers can look forward to the added bonus of playing the game at true 4K resolutions and unlocked framerates that ought to be a massive jump in performance over the PS4 version’s 30fps.

To get an early taste of what the PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn has on offer, make sure to watch the trailer linked above which not only shows PC gameplay at 60fps – it’s the first time we are seeing the game run so smooth ever! – but also goes over the PC-exclusive features like ultra-wide monitor support, adjustable graphical options, dynamic foliage, and more!
