Horizon Zero Dawn: New Update Brings New Game+, Ultra Hard Difficulty

And more, to go with The Frozen Wilds DLC

Horizon Zero Dawn developers Guerrilla Games recently showed off more of their DLC, The Frozen Wilds, at E3 which was met with much excitement for the highly praised title.

With the coming of The Frozen Wilds, Guerilla Games has also sent a new update today. Patch 1.30 adds a number of things, including bug fixes of course, but also New Game+ and an Ultra Hard Mode.

In New Game Plus, you're able to replay the adventure with all of Aloy's previously unlocked progression and inventory. The level cap is still 50, but the Ultra Hard Mode give an extra reason for capped players to replay. This mode will also enhance the difficulty of enemies and their routines, as well as limit the player's health regen.

Alongside this, there are updated versions of existing weapons and outfits that come packed with an extra mod slot.

Full patch notes can be found on their forum. Guerrilla Games has yet to announce a release date for The Frozen Wilds, but patch 1.30 is out now. Microsoft has noted that they're also working on a game similar to Horizon Zero Dawn, keeping competition alive.
