Hot Wheels are coming to Rocket League, and it makes all the sense in the world

Rocket League is about to make an addition I'd wish I thought of. Hot Wheels will be coming in an upcoming update to the rocket powered battle cars soccer game later this month, according to Developer Psyonix. Starting on February 21st, Rocket League will be offering two DLC battle cars designed to look like the Twin Mill III and Bone Shaker cars from the Hot Wheels toy line. Each car will retail for $1.99 and come with six Decals and an exclusive set of Wheels.

If you're the type that prefers to scoop up freebies, no worries there either. The update will also include a free “Hot Wheels” Antenna and Topper, a “Treasure Hunt” Flag, and a “Shark Bite” Topper for you to customize your ride.

Hot Wheels is not the only toyline to partner itself with Rocket League, as Zag Toys recently agreed to release a line of pull-back racers designed to look like the battle cars from the game. Rocket League has continued to be incredibly popular after its original launch back in 2015, with over 1 billion matches played since and coming in as the PS4's most downloaded game of 2016.
