Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number pegged for Q3 2014 launch window

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will be available some time in Q3 2014, the game's official Twitter account revealed today. This puts the release somewhere in between July and the end of September.

Revealed back in June of last year, Wrong Number takes place both before and after the events of the first game. It places you in the blood-soaked shoes of several distinct killers – each with their own motivations and execution methods. The sequel is said to include hundreds of new sprites and animations with a variety of savage new weapons to fulfill your murder lust. Wrong Number will feature an early '90s vibe with attention focused heavily on the "emotional aspects" of the error.

Developer Dennaton Game has previously stated that Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number will mark the end of the series.
