How much better is the Xbox One S exactly?

It's a bit better

The Xbox One S was recently released and it is supposedly better than its predecessor, the vanilla Xbox One, but the question still remains, how much better is the Xbox One S?

Apparently, the answer is 11% better. Besides having 4K and Blu-ray support, the Xbox One S is just a bit better than the original Xbox One, not by much but it is still a better console, though not as good as the upcoming Scorpio, of course.

According to Eurogamer, all of the upgraded components makes the Xbox One S about 11% better, that of course doesn't mean that everything in the One S is 11% better, just that everything combined is 11% better. They ran the tests in Project Cars in a third person chase-cam replay and found out that the main reason for the Xbox One S being better is the overclocked GPU. The Xbox One S GPU has a 914 Mhz clock speed, while the old Xbox One only has a clock speed of 853 Mhz. The Xbox One S is also benefitting from its ESRAM Bandwidth being at 219 GB/s while the old Xbox One only has 204 GB/s.

Basically, games both look and play better on the Xbox One S. Most players probably won't notice it, but there is a difference. It' might not be better enough for players to buy a new Xbox One S if they already have a functioning Xbox One at home.
