How the Wii U makes Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition a ‘revolutionary’ experience

Batman: Arkham City is a great game. Heck, it was so good that Yahoo gave it an 11/10. For as good as it is, however, it's still pretty hard to sell a game that's over a year old to consumers. Unless, there are some big changes planned.

For Warner Bros. Games Montreal, they are betting on the Wii U's revolutionary control and innovative gameplay experience to appeal to gamers. In a video released today, the company walks us through the unique features in Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition for the Wii U.

In short, the Wii U version takes the same impactful story as the original title, but enhances the gameplay experience with mechanics only made possible with the Wii U GamePad. For instance, on the GamePad, you'll have instant access to the Bat computer throughout the game. From here, you can seamlessly locate objectives, set waypoints, upgrade your gear and weaponry, get intel on enemies, and more.

New to the Wii U is the B.A.T. mode. During combat, the B.A.T. meter will fill up; once maxed, you'll be able to use the controller to activate the B.A.T. mode making Batman more powerful. The GamePad can also be used to as the Evidence Scanner to check areas for clues and evidence left around the room.

There are plenty more features exclusive to the Wii U, so your better off checking out the video above. Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition is set to release on November 18, alongside the launch of the new Nintendo Wii U console.
