IO Interactive releases new briefing on how to kill Sean Bean in Hitman 2

Hitman 2 is finally here and we really enjoy it, it’s packed with content, lots of great meta humor, and much denser levels. Today, Hitman 2’s first elusive target is being added and it combines all three of those things together!

Sean Bean will be portraying a very meta former MI5 agent named Mark Faba who is notorious for faking his death when confronted by other ICA Agents and then “coming back to life” later. Sean Bean is, of course, famous for getting killed off in pretty much every movie and show he’s in so he’s appropriately named “The Undying” in Hitman 2.

From November 20th to December 4th, players can make a single attempt to kill Faba while he’s in Miami. You get one shot at this, if you fail or die, he’s gone for good. IO Interactive has released a helpful briefing video to help prep you for your contract. Faba will be held up in the Bay Side Center next to the racetrack, you can infiltrate it to get up close and personal with him or you can even take a sniper rifle and try and shoot him while he’s near a window… or find another opportunity on your own.

If you participate during the 14 day period, you’ll be given access to an explosive pen weapon for Agent 47 to use. It’ll be given to all players who participate regardless of if you succeed or not, it’s also available to find within the level itself. Players can throw it and kill people with the impact and then once it hits the ground, it’ll cause a massive explosion.

Given it’s a pen, it’s not an illegal contraband item so you can bring it with you wherever you please. Remember, if you want to succeed at taking down Mark Faba, take your time, plan your moves, and remain discreet. You only get one shot at it!

Hitman 2 is out now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
