How to see if anyone other than you attempted to access your Xbox account

And what you can do if it's stolen!

With the digital age in full swing, it's no surprise that hackers and scammers are doing everything they can to access your personal data. With digital games being so accessible, gamers have been storing plenty of sensitive data on their platforms of choice.

The question is, has anyone attempted to steal your information or account recently? Luckily, Microsoft has a recent activity page that shows you where you have used your Microsoft account within the last 30 days. The page includes  any time that you signed in to your account, whether you used a web browser, your phone, an email app, a third-party app, or another method.

It also includes the IP address on which activity occurred, the operating system/device and more. Essentially the page is intended for Microsoft users to review the login attempt and verify whether or not it was you! If you flag any account activity as unusual, you'll get walked through ways to resolve that issue/

Some things might seem abnormal, but are fairly normal for email accounts (to discern between the two, go here).

Anyway, if you're curious, head here to see if anyone has attempted to log in to your account.

Note that if your Xbox ever gets stolen, report it to the police, then get your MAC address from your router and contact Xbox with your situation. They can flag your account and brick the box so the thief can't use it.

In addition to that, no matter what your platform of choice is, PC, PS4, or Xbox One, make sure that your information has not been compromised by checking out this site. If it has been, change your passwords!!

[Thank you Redditor who unfortunately had your Xbox stolen, but got lots of good information from the situation]
