A hefty 2.2GB update was released for the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt; but, unfortunately, this isn't the patch we were all hoping for.
According to the developer, it's an "update of our artpack (artbook, soundtrack, map, manual, wallpapers etc.)." The files can be found in the main game folder, and as players have pointed out, it's totally safe to remove them from your game to save space. However, if you do remove these files, verifying the game cache will re-download them.
Unfortunately, the wait for The Witcher 3's real patch — update 1.07 — still continues. Partly detailed earlier this week, update 1.07 will address a number of issues fans have complained about, including inventory space and Geralt's movement response. Of course, there are probably a ton of fixes as well, but we'll have to wait for the full patch notes, which are expected to be posted sometime this week.
