Hugh Jackman might go full ‘Berserker Rage’ in Wolverine 3

Actor teases the return of Sabretooth in final Wolverine film

Last month, Hugh Jackman turned to fans for ideas for the third and final standalone Wolverine film. As this will be Jackman's last time portraying the iconic Marvel character, he wants to make sure he gives the fans what they want before retracting his adamantium claws for good.

And according to Jackman, who appearted on The Daily Telegraph's Sydney Confidential Podcast, fans apparently want to see one final showdown between Wolverine and Sabretooth.

"There were a lot of calls for Victor Creed to come back," he said, teasing the return of Sabretooth, a formidable foe of Wolverine in both X-Men and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

"I must admit I was quite heartened by a number of people saying please don’t make it the last, but look, I’m really excited about this last one," he continued. "And if you’re a comic book fan, the words 'berserker rage' came up a lot. If you know Wolverine, you’ll understand."

For those unfamiliar, "berserker rage" is when Wolverine enters into an uncontrollable mental state, lashing out with intense aggression and rage.

Last month at San Diego Comic-Con, Jackman teased that Wolverine 3 would be based on the Old Man Logan storyline, but it doesn't look like that's set in stone yet. It's unclear how much the studio is willing to listen to fan input, but boy would it be big to see Wolverine in berserker rage for the final film.
