Former Infinity Ward creative strategist Robert Bowling and his team at new studio Robotoki have announced their first effort, a zombie apocalypse game called Human Element.
Robotoki unveiled the project to Game Informer, explaining that the most important aspect of the game is survival.
“Their greatest strength is the fear that zombies instill in us, the survivors, that unreasonable fear," Bowling said in an interview. "Unreasonable fear that leads us to do unreasonable things to survive."
The game's unique character creation system allows players to choose from three separate classes — Action, Intelligence, and Stealth — and three identities — Survive Alone, Survive with a Partner, and Survive with a Young Child.
“How you choose to start in the world will determine how you can engage and impacts the scenarios you will be presented with on a physical and morality level," Bowling said.
Human Element is planned for release on next-gen consoles, PC, mobile, and tablets in 2015. Game Informer will report more early details in its forthcoming July issue.
Bowling left Activision in March.
