Hyper Light Drifter’s Collector’s Edition comes with an SNES cartridge

Wow, that's really REALLY cool. Hyper Light Drifter may currently only be a digital downloadable title, but Developer Heart Machine also wants you to have something tangible while you experience its awesome 2-D pixelated Action-RPG. You can now pre-order the Collector's Edition of the game from the iam8bit store for $65 for Steam, PS4 and Xbox One and it comes with a host of cool stuff, including an SNES cartridge.

Here are the full details on the Collector's Edition package:

  • Custom Blue SNES Cartridge
  • SNES Style Replica Box
  • 24-Page Game Manual
  • World Map Poster (24 x 18 inches)

There is currently no official ship date for the Collector's Edition, but the store page gives an estimate of Late Summer 2016. This would also indicate the timeframe that we can expect the console version of the game, as Hyper Light Drifter is currently a PC exclusive.
