While we've known for a while now that Hyrule Warriors would be getting DLC, Nintendo has just recently shared the full details of each DLC pack.
Releasing first on October 16 is the "Master Quest Pack" for $7.99, which includes all of the following:
- Ride Epona into battle when you play as Link
- Play through 5 story episodes that lead to the cataclysmic events in the main game
- Challenge yourself with the Master Quest Adventure Mode map
- Outfit Cia and Lana with Guardian of Time costumes
Next is the "Twilight Princess Pack" coming in November. Also priced at $7.99, here's what you'll get:
- A new playable character
- An additional weapon
- An additional Adventure Map
- 2 new costumes
Nintendo is a bit more vague with the final two DLC packs. The "Majora's Mask Pack," coming in January 2015 for $7.99, will include two new playable characters, an additional adventure map, and three additional costumse. Finally, in February 2015, you can get the "Boss Pack" for $2.99 which includes two additional game modes.
For those of you planning to purchase all four DLC packs, you might want to get the "Hero of Hyrule Pack," which is just a fancy name for what is essentially a Hyrule Warriors season pass. For $19.99, you can get all four DLC packs and a bonus in-game Dark Link costume.
Hyrule Warriors, a clever mash-up of The Legend of Zelda franchise with Dynasty Warriors gameplay, was met with great enthusiasm when it released, as evidenced by GameZone's score of 9/10. Check out our full review here.
