Nintendo announced today that Hyrule Warriors will launch with free downloadable content.
The additional content will release on day one for game (September 26), adding a new mode, a new weapon and the "option to select music to add to the Hyrule Warriors experience."
That's just the start of it too. Nintendo also promised to support the Dynasty Warriors/The Legend of Zelda mash-up from Tecmo Koei for "the long run," with more content planned down the line, although no further details were provided.
Additionally, people who pre-order the game at select retailers will receive a free download code for a set of alternate in-game costumes for Link and Zelda. Also, anyone who registers the game with Club Nintendo will receive a free download code for a set of alternate costumes for Ganondorf. Eventually, all of these costumes will become available for purchase from the Nintendo eShop "in the near future," though timing and pricing details will be announced at a later time.
