I hate PlayStation VR, but I’m so in on Robinson: The Journey

I'm gonna be totally honest with you, I hate virtual reality. I hate that the industry is forcing it upon us. But ya know what, this new Robinson: The Journey game that Crytek finally showed off during Sony's Paris Games Week PlayStation Conference, I'm so in.

The trailer shown during the press conference didn't reveal too much, but details on the PlayStation blog reveal you'll play the "role of a young boy who has crash-landed on a mysterious planet, and must become a pioneer of sorts as you explore your surroundings, interact with the world around you, and discover amazing secrets at every turn."

It's a CGI trailer so it's impossible to gauge just how this game will perform on PlayStation VR, but I'm willing to give it a chance. First of all, it's Crytek, so you know it'll look good. Second of all, F*CKIN DINOSAURS!

It has a tech demo feel to its approach, designed more to show off the power and potential of PlayStation VR. Gameplay doesn't seem too complex, but it seems Robinson: The Journey is more about the adventure of exploring this far out environment. I'll give it a chance.
