If you’re in the mood for an artsy game with minimalist storytelling and moody undertones, then you should really check out iCarus for Apple’s iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad platforms. The game is currently being distributed for free on the App Store, and it will be available at no cost through January 19.
iCarus features no text, and the story unfolds through imagery. The game’s plot revolves around a man whose son has passed away. The man decides to cope with his loss by drawing in his sketch pad. Each of the drawings is a level within the game, and it is your objective to play through each of these. Depressing? Kind of. Interesting? You bet!
