If NASA contacts a Martian, they need to call Obama stat

Just today, the President of the United States of America called the NASA’s Mars Curiosity Rover team to congratulate them on doing such an awesome job with the entire project and successful touchdown.  Putting a space savvy remote control car on the red planet is a task so immense that it warranted a call from President Obama at 8 AM Pacific time this morning.

The amusing part of this story is how the President ended the phone call, and I quote, “If in fact you do make contact with Martians, please let me know right away.”  There you have it.

If NASA makes contact with an alien species on Mars, they are to call President Obama right away on that red phone we always see in movies.  I’m definitely adding this request to my list of perks that come with being the President of the United States of America.
