In the last episode of Game of Thrones we learned the truth about Jon Snow… He's not Eddard Stark's (Ned) bastard son. Now setting aside the fact that Ned Stark bore the hatred of Catelyn for his apparent betrayal (cheating on her with some woman at war), Ned had been protecting Jon Snow from the former king, now deceased Robert Baratheon.

You see, Jon Snow is Rhaegar Targaryen's son. When Ned went to go save his sister Lyanna Stark from an apparent kidnapping by Rhaegar Targaryen, he found her in the throes of death after having given birth the Jon. In that moment, she makes Ned promise to protect Jon from Robert – she knew that Robert would kill Jon for being the son of Rhaegar.

If you had any doubts about this, it's OK. The show slipped in and out of audible audio during the reveal and they never really spoke about Rhaegar. However, the HBO team behind the show has revealed confirmation on the fact that Jon Snow is a Targaryen.

Now, in this image you will see two truths: Jon is the spawn of Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen (further displayed by sh**ty paint skills):

Now, if you go back up to the full image you'll notice someone missing… Tyrion Lannister. Now, if we are in need of theories… what if he's a Targaryen too? Tywin (the dead daddy Lannister) hinted at having an affair with someone else and Tyrion pet the Daenerys' dragons… something that no one else is supposed to do.
