If you hate rats, check out the new Dishonored: Rat Assassin app

Bethesda has released a new app to help sharpen your supernatural assassin skills while you wait for Dishonored to officially release.

With the rat plague overwhelming the city of Dunwall, Dishonored: Rat Assassin turns to you to help rid the city of these foul rodents. The game plays very similar to Fruit Ninja; using your fingers you can perform swipe motions to slice and dice your way through the rats.

Dishonored: Rat Assassin has three main game modes that are basically self explanatory: Assassination, Timed, and Challenges. Although all revolve around the concept of slicing rats, the modes have you perform different goals. In Timed, your goal is to kill as many rats as you can in a minute and 30 seconds. Assassination mode adds the threat of bombs which you must avoid slicing or you lose. The last mode, Challenges, has you perform a series a slicing skills while trying to reach a certain score and star level.

Along the way you can unlock bonus in-game items like blade colors, wallpapers, and other bonus objects which will help you rid these rodents. The app also includes some bonus information about the console and PC version of Dishonored.

Dishonored: Rat Assassin is a fun little play if you are looking to kill some time (or some rats). You can download the game for free via the App Store for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. As for the actual Dishonored game, that will be available for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC on October 9 in North America.
