If you wanted Silent Hills, back Allison Road on Kickstarter

There's always that sense of immediacy late at night when you turn off a hallway light and leaving yourself bathed in darkness. An immediacy born of fear that something is in the darkness, a fear  that causes you to briskly walk towards your destination.

This anticipation has been recreated in classic horror games like Silent Hill, Resident Evil or Fatal Frame, but has since been lost in newer survival-horror games. The game developers at Lilith want to bring this back with a game that is eerily similar to the game we never got from Konami — Silent Hills (RIP P.T. Demo).

Allison Road was shown off earlier this year in a 13-minute long gameplay demo (as seen above), that looked absolutely awesome. The developers have described the game as a return to the "roots of true psychological horror." The game will have players exploring, examining (and gathering) clues in hopes of solving the mystery of what happened in the house the player is exploring.

It won't simply be an 'exploring game' thought, there are creatures brought about by darkness. "Remember to keep an eye on the clock, because as the night falls and the light fades, your nightmares will really begin."

The best part is this game is up on Kickstarter right now, with a couple of stretch goals. We can make this game happen!

If funded, Allison Road will first release on PC by the end of 2016, followed by Mac, Linux and console.
