Ill-Gotten Gains special event weekend planned for GTA Online

Grand Theft Auto 5 got a huge content update for the online portion of the game, GTA Online. The update, titled Ill-Gotten Gains, brought a number of new vehicles, clothing, accessories and more.

The items that are coming alone with Ill-Gotten Gains Pt. 1, aren't cheap, though. That's why Rockstar has decided to hold a special event weekend to help you earn plenty of GTA$ to spend on the latest luxory items to hit Los Santos.

Between June 12 and June 14th, there will be plenty of ways for you to earn cash:

• Double cash adversary modes event playlist
  • Hit the Event button during the GTAV boot screens and jump right into the Double Cash Adversary Modes. Get double GTA$ and get rewarded with armory completion bonus including Sticky Bombs, Molotovs, Proximity Mines and Body Armor at the end of the Playlist.
• Double RP races on land, sea, and air
  • ​Use and of the six new vehicles
• 25% discount on high-end apartments and garages
  • Get 25% off High-End Apartments and Garages.
• High-frequency crate drops with GTA$10k and exclusive t-shirts
  • The racetrack, yacht club and Rockford Hills areas will have an increased frequency of Crate Drops containing GTA$10K and exclusive in-game t-shirts. The t-shirts are only available this weekend in GTA Online.
• #illgottengains1 GTA$1M Snapmatic contest
  • Win GTA$1Million with just a snap of your iFruit's camera. Rockstar wants the best photographs (as picked by Rockstar) of you living the high life with Ill-Gotten Gains Update content.
• Social Club Sweepstakes
  • The Social Club Event Sweepstakes is live on the Social Club Events Page. You can win a number a GTA V items through the sweepstakes: GTA V Chrome Zippo, Grotti Polo, Epsilon Pendant, a copy of the Welcome To Los Santos album, as well as a GTA V t-shirt and stickers.
• Event weekend live stream
  • On June 12th at 5pm ET the Rockstar Broadcast Studio team will be joined by special guests Funhaus to play brand new Jobs from the Ill-Gotten Gains Update: Part One along with custom meta-games featuring the new content. '
