Immortals Fenyx Rising promises the best of BOTW & Assassin’s Creed

One of the highlights of the recent Ubisoft Forward game showcase event is without a doubt Immortals Fenyx Rising. The colorful and vibrant open-world action-adventure has now gotten the first-ever look at its gameplay in the form of several new trailers and walkthroughs. Check them out all here!

First revealed during last year’s E3 under the name Gods and Monsters, Ubisoft has wisely decided to change the title into something much less generic and memorable. But there is so much more to this game than just a fancy new name.

Immortals Fenyx Rising wears its heart on its sleeves with the two major inspirations practically screaming through the monitor. The mythical Greek setting will instantly remind readers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey while the art style and certain gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Play as Fenyx, a new winged demigod, on a quest to save the Greek gods and their home from a dark curse. Take on mythological beasts, master the legendary powers of the gods, and defeat Typhon, the deadliest Titan in Greek mythology, in an epic fight for the ages.

Hey, we’re not complaining. There are much worse games to take cues from. The visual design of Immortals Fenyx Rising is decidedly taking a step away from photorealism and aims a more pleasing and colorful style. It fits the fantastical setting very well.

Players are pit in the shoes of a demigod who has to save the world from a looming threat. But it’s the pantheon of Greek gods you will be helping here! Through the journey, new skills granted by these gods will enhance the gameplay meaningfully such as wings that’ll let you safely glide through the air and more.

Not only do we get a look at the open-world action-adventure title but Ubisoft further shared the good news that the game will launch this year, on December 3rd for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Google Stadia. The PC version will be available on the publisher’s Uplay storefront and the Epic Games Store.
