Impressive physical-destruction sandbox Teardown out this year

Teardown, the promising indie heist game that features brilliant physical destruction physics has a release window. Before the year ends, PC gamers will be able to create and destroy the ultimate heist on Steam Early Access. Here’s the new trailer!

Indie developer Tuxedo Labs crafted a true sandbox of possibilities and opportunities in their upcoming title. With a major focus on destruction and map modification, Teardown makes its name full justice.

Originally intended as a pure heist game, the sheer brilliance of a fully destructible level – from cars to houses – lends Teardown to become more than just that. As the developer has confirmed, his game will receive extensive modding support from custom levels, assets, to even scripts. Seeing how active and creative the PC modding scene can get, we foresee lots of crazy content incoming.

Plan the perfect heist using creative problem solving, brute force, and everything around you. Teardown features a fully destructible and truly interactive environment where player freedom and emergent gameplay are the driving mechanics.

Tear down walls with explosives or vehicles to create shortcuts no one thought was possible. Stack objects, build structures, or use floating objects to your advantage. Take your time to create the most efficient path through the level and get ready to run.

The moment you pick up your first target, an alarm goes off, and the heat is on. Run, jump, drive, slingshot, do whatever you need to collect all of the targets, and escape before security arrives.

But these modding tools will not be instantly available to players when Teardown launches later this year. Instead, the developer is focusing on delivering the first portion of the campaign with the Early Access launch. With twenty missions that span five different environments, there ought to be enough content for early birds.
