In the Heart of the Sea gets delayed; Run All Night gets a closer release date

So I have good news and bad news for you. Bad news first.

The drama/adventure film on the open seas, In the Heart of the Sea, has been delayed by Warner Bros. and moved back to late 2015. It is now opening in the U.S. on December 11, 2015, which is much more awards-season friendly. It won't have any major competition that opening weekend, but it could struggle after that, as Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens releases a week later. Directed by Ron Howard, In the Heart of the Sea is a familiar tale if you've ever heard of Moby Dick. It follows Chris Hemsworth and a crew of 19th-century New England whalers who face a battle for survival after being attacked by a giant whale that destroys their ship and casts them adrift on the open sea.

Now time for the good news.

Taking the vacant spot left by In the Heart of the Sea is Run All Night, starring Liam Neeson, Ed Harris and Joel Kinnaman. Neeson plays a Brooklyn mobster who protects his son against the son of his longtime best friend mob boss. Now they're on the run with nowhere safe to turn. The trailer looked really cool, so we are excited this is coming out sooner.
