Inhumans TV show casts Game of Thrones star in lead role

So, he's not dog food any more I guess

Marvel's Inhumans won't be out until September, but we have our first confirmed cast member announced today. The company announced that Game of Thrones star Iwan Rheon as the role of Maximus, brother of leader Black Bolt.

Rheon is of course known for his evil portrayal of Ramsay Bolton in Game of Thrones, one of the series' most intense characters. The first two episodes of Inhumans will debut in IMAX theaters in September (Labor Day), followed up by six TV episodes to air on ABC starting on September 26th. Currently, ABC is in its fourth season of Agents of SHIELD which also deals with Inhumans. The TV show was decided on after the Inhumans film scheduled to release in 2019 was cancelled.

Jeph Loeb, the head of Marvel TV commented on Rheon's casting by saying

"Iwan's ability to be charming, roguish and still completely unexpectedly dangerous were all the different sides we needed to bring the character to life. We’re thrilled to have him on board,"

Rheon's portrayal of Maximus is the first announced casting, and we still have to fill out the other roles. Hopefully we will hear more soon, but they are Black Bolt, Medusa, Karmak, Triton, Gorgon and Crystal
