Injustice 2 finally released to the world earlier today, but as is the norm both the media and developers are already looking to the future for the game. In an interview with Game Rant, Ed Boon revealed that there was a "possibility" that Watchmen characters could come to Injustice 2 via post-launch DLC.
He said:
"It’s not outside the realm of possibility at all. Unfortunately, there are still so many cool characters that we haven’t done that we’ll be getting a few of them done with DLC which will be cool. But inevitably someone is going to not make the cut."
Boon has previously tweeted out the question to fans about whether or not they wanted to see them, the result of which was unsurprisingly a resounding "yes."
Still, while Boon acknowledges the "possibility," it doesn't feel like a probability given that his words indicate some plans already in place for other characters. What those characters are, remain to be seen.
Injustice 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
