Injustice 2 DLC Will Include The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

This weekend was full of fighting games and the announcement of cameo characters. We learned that Noctis from Final Fantasy XV is coming to Tekken 7, while over in the Injustice 2 corner of the ring, we learned that the game will be adding a couple of new characters as well.

The Enchantress and Atom will be added to the traditional superhero roster, but we almost feel bad for them, because their reveal trailer is hijacked and overshadowed by another presence. Four presences to be exact: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The trailer features a duel between Enchantress and Atom, which is quickly crashed by Michelangelo. Leonardo jumps in to remind him that the Ninja Turtles "fight as a team". Upon which, Don and Raf appear on the screen.

Is this just a line from Leonardo, or will the Turtles actually fight as a team, with the player swapping them out via special moves? Gameplay of their fighting style has yet to be seen, but it would be very interesting to see them work in that fashion.

This addition might be a nod to Batman fans, where the caped crusader crossed over with the heroes in a half shell last year.

Fighter Pack 3 DLC, featuring Atom, Enchantress and the Ninja Turtles will be rolling out hopefully sometime in December. Atom has been announced for early access on December 12, with the remaining heroes unaccounted for.
