Injustice 2 has officially been revealed, giving players a little glimpse of what to expect with its newly released trailer, which you can watch above.
For the past week, Injustice 2 was rumored o be revealed very soon, but many thought the reveal would happen at E3. However, yesterday, the cat was already out of the bag when some promo art leaked online. The leak all but confirmed the existence of the game.
Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice ™: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk.
The trailer is pretty packed with some of the most iconic superheroes — Superman, Batman, The Flash, and Aquaman, duking it out in a brawl. The game is little ways off, giving players an expected release window frame of 2017.
One of the biggest additions to the game is the Gear System; this allows players to use RPG-mechanics to reward themselves with loot drops every time the pop on the game or complete matches. These loot drops will contain new gear for specific characters. This will not only change the way your hero looks, but it will also change your fight style. The new Gear System will give the players an abundant amount of options to choose from, while making each character you fight against unique.
