Injustice 2 reveals Black Manta, Raiden, and Hellboy as next playable fighters

Injustice 2 currently stands as one of, if not the best fighters to release this year, and it is continuing its stranglehold on the competition by releasing more and more new fighters. Developer NetherRealm Studios has just released a new cinematic trailer (embedded above) showcasing three new combatants; Raiden (Mortal Kombat), Black Manta, and Hellboy.

The fighters are just the latest batch of post launch content that Injustice 2 has been so great about rolling out at a consistent rate. Previous DLC characters have included Starfire, Red Hood, and Sub-Zero (who made up Fighter Pack 1). Each Fighter Pack DLC is included in the game's Ultimate Edition, which goes for $99, or you can purchase each fighter separately for $6.

The weird thing with the Fighter Packs is that all of the combatants don't release at the same time, as NetherRealm has elected to release them over time gradually. The first of the characters from Fighter Pack 2 will release on September 12th, and there is expected to be a Fighter Pack 3 at some point in the future.

Injustice 2 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
