Injustice: Gods Among Us, a fighting game released in 2013, told a story set in the DC multiverse where Superman murders the Joker for tricking him into killing Lois Lane, and then rules the world as an authoritarian dictator.
Other Justice League members either bow to his whim, or fall where they stand. The only one to elude Supes is, of course, Batman whom travels to another dimension and recruits that world’s Justice League: a world in which Superman never killed the Joker. Sounds rad, right? It was! Thankfully, it seems that we may be getting a sequel!
A French game blog, aptly titled gameblog.fr, reports that we will hear about a second Injustice game sometime before E3 exclusive to current get consoles and PC. The game supposedly runs on the same engine as Mortal Kombat X, and we will see it sometime in March of 2017. Again, there has been no official confirmation, but considering that Injustice was a critical and commercial success, it is totally in the realm of possibility that a sequel is indeed happening. Especially with the DC movie universe taking shape.
