Insomniac shares first Teaser for Spider-Man’s Three Story DLCs

Marvel’s Spider-Man, the PS4 exclusive open-world action-adventure game featuring probably one of the hottest Marvel characters at the moment, is launching very soon. This Friday, September 7th, developer Insomniac will unleash the friendly neighborhood spider into the world.

Ahead of the game’s release however, Insomniac decided to share their plans on Spider-Man’s post-launch DLC. Titled The City That Never Sleeps, fans of the likable teenage superhero will be able to explore deeper into Spider-Man’s lore. Split into three parts, The Heist will be the first part of the DLC Trilogy and comes out on October 23rd. This should be just enough time for players to fully explore New York and its secrets.

As an appetizer, Insomniac even released a short teaser for Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist. Check it out.

As stated on the game’s website, The City That Never Sleeps will be a story DLC trilogy, featuring new missions, challenges and new characters from the Spider-Man universe. One of whom we are now shown. Felicia Hardy a.k.a. Black Cat is making her entrance into Marvel’s Spider-Man in the first story chapter The Heist. The long-term character of the Spider-Man comics should be well-known for fans and an interesting new addition to newcomers. As a weird mix of enemy and friend – sometimes even love interest -, Black Cat is assuredly going to grab Spider-Man’s attention, and ours.

We’re curious to see which other iconic characters and stories of Spider-Man will be included in The City That Never Sleeps. The other two parts of the DLC are titles Turf Wars and Silver Lining, and will be available in November and December respectively.

A look at post-launch story DLC

The announced DLCs will also everyone’s favorites, new Spider-Man costumes as well. So, make sure to keep your Spider-Senses up next month, when The Heist comes out.
