Insomniac shares Marvel’s Spider-Man Game Length and Size

Less than two weeks left for players on the PS4 to finally get their hands on Marvel’s Spider-Man. The level of hype among fans has reached critical levels and developer is continuously fanning the flames of excitement with new trailers and details about their game. Fans who can no longer contain themselves are trying to get as much information as possible. James Stevenson, Community Director at Insomniac Games, shared some interesting details.

In a Twitter conversation with fans eager to pry more information out of the Insomniac employee, Stevenson actually shared some interesting new info. We now know that Marvel’s Spider-Man takes around 20 hours to finish the story campaign. That of course was done by play testers who know the game pretty much inside out. Further, that completion time doesn’t take the many side quests and other activities like collectibles into account, which should easily add a couple more dozen hours on top. From what we’ve seen so far, there’s no doubt this highly detailed version of an open-world New York will offer heaps of extracurricular action.

Besides the game content, Stevenson also shared a technical information about the game size. Marvel’s Spider-Man will need at least 45 GB of hard drive space. Day 1 patches will increase that size however likely. So, overall a pretty typical game size for a AAA blockbuster game.

Insomniac wasn’t done with more about Spider-Man however, and also released a new trailer. The new “Relationships” trailer gives a nice overview over the characters in the game. From classic enemies like The Vulture, Electro and Rhino to the dubious private military Sable International. We also get to see our friends, Police Chief Yuri Watanabe, Aunt May, Mary Jane and more. There’s also a quick glimpse at Norman Osborn. Can’t wait to see who else will show up and in what form.

Make sure to follow our coverage of Marvel’s Spider-Man and check out our review once the game releases next week, Friday September 7th for Playstation 4.
