Insurgency gets a new map, “Capa” mode, and a huge flash sale on Steam

New World Interactive has just released an update that includes a new map and a plethors of new features, fixes and improvements. The new map is called Dry Canal and was originally created by a community member.

Also included in this update is a new feature called “Capa” mode. "Capa" mode will let players get closer to the action than ever if they choose to use the roaming spectator mode. The name “Capa” is an homage to Robert Capa, one of the greatest war photographers during World War II. His images of Omaha Beach on D-Day are considered to be iconic, much of which can be attributed to his old saying, “If your photographs aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” Unfortunately, Capa was killed by a land mine in Indochina in 1954.

Insurgency is currently on sale as part of this weekend's Steam sale and is 85% off, coming in at a grand total of $2.24. Not bad for a game with a 91% positive Steam user rating.
