Introducing SAO II perfume, so you can finally smell like your favorite Sword Art Online characters

Perhaps I’m in the minority here, but you know, I’ve never once been watching Sword Art Online and became curious what certain characters smell like. Call me crazy, I guess. Well, if you’re a member of the other side (no judgment here), Luxent has released 25ml bottles of SAO II-themed perfumes. Yes, that was plural.

Sword Art Online producers A-1 Pictures got themselves three of these scented perfumes. With bottle colors similar to the character’s battle attire, there is a scent representing Sinon, Kirito, and Asuna. Just what do these scents smell like? Glad you asked:

Sinon is another mature scene of marin citrus and herbs. It uses green apple, herbs and lime above muguet, rose, jasmine and cyclamen above musk and brandy.

The unisex Kirito eau de toilette is dry citrus with a touch of brandy, meant to evoke a mature spirit. It uses green apple, apricot and lime above Muguet, Rose, Jasmine, grapefruit and a musk and brandy base.

Asuna is a sweet, irresistibly refreshing scent of galbanum and jasmine. It uses galbanum, lemon, and apple above rose, jasmine, muguet and violet above music and cedar.

Thank you to the fine folk over at Crunchyroll for those descriptions. I can’t help but to wonder if the Kirito scent is based off his Gun Gale Online avatar since well, it’s sort of unisex itself. Pretty ingenious regardless. Will Kirito’s scent give you super harem powers? Probably.
